About Ali Murray – Purposeful Work, Rooted in People
I’m Ali Murray—a compassionate, driven, and multi-skilled professional whose life’s work has always centred around people, purpose, and positive transformation.
My journey began in South Africa, a country of profound contrasts and social change that sparked my passion for uncovering the beauty hidden within complexity. That passion evolved into a lifelong mission to help others find strength through adversity—whether through counselling, care, creativity, or connection.
For over two decades, I worked as a counsellor, author, and speaker—guiding people through trauma, relationship struggles, and personal growth. I founded a non-profit to support children in crisis, published three books, and shared insights through media and public speaking. When the world slowed during the pandemic, I returned to the UK and began working in elderly care, deepening my commitment to memory work and completing a postgraduate degree in Alzheimer’s Dementia.
A single title doesn’t define me. Over the years, I’ve been:
- A counsellor and mentor, helping individuals rebuild after trauma
- An advocate for the vulnerable, supporting victims of domestic violence and vulnerable children
- A communicator and thought leader, sharing insight through books, talks, and media
- A carer, offering direct support to older adults and people living with dementia
- A bridge-builder, connecting individuals and communities with care and compassion
- A lifelong learner, always deepening my understanding of the human experience
- And now, a creative founder, blending all of this into a business rooted in empathy, sustainability, and connection
At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to seeing beyond the surface—helping people feel valued, heard, and remembered. Quiet confidence, deep empathy, and genuine curiosity have been the thread through it all.
